Account & Data Deletion
Effective: May 12, 2026
Last updated:May 12, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account and data for "Stackey" (stackey.me / app.stackey.me; Google Play package jp.co.onecarat.stackey), a cloud file management service provided by 1carat International Co., Ltd. ("we" / "us").
This page covers account and data deletion for Stackey (the "Service").
| App name | Stackey |
| Google Play package | jp.co.onecarat.stackey |
| Provider (developer) | 1carat International Co., Ltd. |
| Service URL | stackey.me / app.stackey.me |
| Contact | hello@stackey.me / Contact form |
You can delete your account yourself from either the app or the web.
- Sign in to app.stackey.me or the Google Play version of Stackey.
- Open "Settings" from the avatar (top right) or the account menu in the sidebar.
- Tap "Delete account" at the bottom of the Settings screen.
- Read the confirmation notice carefully, then confirm deletion.
Once confirmed, any active subscription will automatically begin cancellation, and stored files will be removed according to sections 04 and 05 below.
If you can't sign in to the app, or simply prefer to request deletion by email, please contact us at the address below.
For identity verification, we may ask you to contact us directly from your registered email, or to share a user identifier shown inside the Service.
Upon receiving your deletion request, we will remove the following:
- Account information: email address, hashed password, name, authentication IDs (including Google / Apple / LINE link identifiers)
- Uploaded files: photos, videos, PDFs, documents, notes — every file you stored in Stackey
- File metadata: auto-generated filenames, document types, dates, amounts, summaries, search keywords, etc.
- Folders, tags, favorites and other organization data
- Guest passes & share links (any issued ones are revoked)
- Sessions, sign-in history, device authentication info
- Support correspondence (deleted 1 year after the case is closed)
The following data is kept for a period after your deletion request, as required by law or to prevent abuse:
- Payment records (invoices, receipts): retained for 7 years per accounting / tax law. Credit card numbers are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
- Access logs (IP address, timestamps): retained for 90 days for security investigation.
- Abuse / misuse records: retained as needed to prevent recurrence (anonymized so individuals cannot be identified).
These retentions are the minimum required for legal and security reasons. We never use them to provide service, for marketing, or to train AI models.
- Explicit account deletion request: after identity verification, deletion is normally executed immediately to within a few business days.
- Standard cancellation (subscription cancel): files are retained for 30 days after cancellation; if you re-subscribe within that window, the previous state is restored. After 30 days they are queued for deletion.
- Payment failure (invoice.payment_failed): a 14-day grace period plus a 30-day retention (44 days total) before deletion.
- Per-file deletion: files removed from the in-app Trash are fully deleted from storage (Cloudflare R2) 30 days later.
Physical deletion runs in stages, so it may take up to several days for data to disappear completely from storage. However, neither we nor you can access the files once the deletion process begins.
